ANNUAL SESSIONS OF THE SRI LANKA ECONOMIC ASSOCIATION

30^TH AND 31^ST OCTOBER 2015- COLOMBO SRI LANKA

Sri Lanka Economic Association (SLEA), the premier professional body of Economists in the country holds its Annual Sessions of 2015 in conjunction with its 30^th Anniversary on October 30-31, 2015, at the Centre for Banking Studies of Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) at Rajagiriya. The Sessional Theme is “Policy Reforms for Sustained High Growth”. His Excellency Maithripala Srisena, the President of Sri Lanka will inaugurate the Annual Session while Hon. Dr. Harsha de Silva, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs will deliver the keynote address.

The SLEA Annual Sessions coincide with the unprecedented events unfolding in the country today in particular the formation of a National Government. The Sessional Theme “Policy Reforms for Sustained High Growth” would provide a prelude to and fit well within the Economic Agenda of the Government.

We wish to cordially invite you and other interested members of your esteemed Association to participate in this event. We would welcome you and your delegation as Special Guests at this event. Kindly be limited to maximum 3 participants and the expenses have to be borne by the participants due to our budgetary constraints.

Could your Association kindly let us know how many of your members are likely to participate in our Annual Sessions. It would be appreciated if this information would reach us on or before October 9, 2015 to make necessary arrangements.
